Brand identity for Hai Eco Tours in Vietnam’s UNESCO World Heritage Site

The problem

Whilst travelling Vietnam, Kath saw first-hand the urgent need to educate locals and tourists about the endangered wildlife of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2003. During the trek, the owner Hai spoke to Kath about how the brand identity didn’t capture the true spirit of the non-profit. Little did they know he was discussing his creative problem with someone who might just be able to help.

The solution

Kath’s first-hand experience of taking part on the jungle trek, and spending time with the tour guides and the owner who had a playful and entrepreneurial spirit she decided that the current brand icon of the native rare Langur monkey could be central to the brand identity – more youthful and playful to bring the brand’s personality to life to attract the gap year 18-30 and beyond audiences.
